Origin of Sophrology

Sophrology was created in the 1960s by Dr. Alfonso Caycedo, a Colombian neuropsychiatrist based in Madrid, Spain, and experienced significant development in the 1980s.
It was forged from ancient practices such as Yoga, Tibetan Buddhism, and Japanese Zen, but it also draws inspiration from therapeutic concepts already well known in early 20th-century Europe — such as hypnosis, psychoanalysis, and progressive relaxation, to name just a few — as well as various philosophical currents.
Sophrology is widely practiced in Europe, mainly in French-speaking countries, and remains much less known or entirely unknown in the English-speaking world.

Sessions are available in person at the practice or online from wherever you are in Singapore or worldwide. Sessions can be conducted in English or French. Sessions are available on an individual basis or in small groups of up to 4 people.

It lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
You will leave with exercise sheets to practice at home, as well as an audio recording of the relaxation session.

Each session is unique, focusing on a specific intention while keeping your overarching goals in mind. It combines an interactive exchange with practical exercises.
Each session lasts approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.
